Before you get started, there are quilting materials and tools to add to your arsenal of sewing supplies.

Even if you love to hand stitch, a sewing machine will facilitate the process and make completing the project faster. There are so many brands from which to choose: Elna, Brother, Janome, Pfaff and others. If you are already a sewer, scissors, pins, needles, thread, iron, ironing board, seam ripper, yardstick, and ruler are probably already on hand.
