Gather your lady friends and start making plans to set out to see as many quilt shops as you can.
Before setting out, make a plan of action. Decide how many shops you will be going to. Decide how long you will be staying at each one. Most importantly, decide how many days you want to be gone.
Another thing to remember, guilt fabric shopping is very addicting. Before you set off, have a monetary limit set. You do not want to have to spoil the fun because you spent too much.
Taking a tour bus is another fun way to check out quilt shops. It makes fabric shopping easier for many ladies who no longer drive. Some older ladies do not like to drive in the big cities or want to go alone. The bus makes it easy for all of the ladies to talk and have fun and leaves the driving up to someone else. Ladies love to share their quilting experiences with one another. This is another way to make new friends while learning about an old hobby.
There are many small quilt shops in our country. It is hard to decide which direction to travel. Some small quilt shops are in peoples homes while the big ones are located on main street. Each shop offers the latest fabrics in bright, bold colors, new textures and prints, quilting supplies, patterns, machines and threads.
With all this in mind, the ladies will have to move quickly, finding the great bargains each store has to offer. The bus will be moving onto the next shop.
The best part of quilt fabric shop hopping, is you get to see the style each shop has. The lady running the place will probably have oodles of fun facts about her boutique.
