When shopping for a quilt it is important to know what you are looking at and what you are looking for. When buying a quilt it is important to decide if you would like a handmade quilt or a machine made quilt. There are literally millions of websites that you can go to online to purchase quilts, supplies, and materials. There are many reasons for wanting a handmade quilt. You may like the look of handmade work, want to support a local artisan, or something else. Others prefer to buy machine made quilts because you can buy them pretty much anywhere, they are very reasonably priced, and come in many types and colors. Another thing to considering when buying a quilt is do you want a custom quilt made? If so, you must help the artisan design as well as provide material for squares if you want a more personal touch.
